Hello!
Welcome to EDU 598 - Advanced Strategies in Technology.
My name is Kate Bigelow, and this is my first class that I am teaching at Neumann College. I have taught three graduate classes this year for St. Joseph's University. I am a Neumann alum, graduating from their Continuing Adult & Professional Studies program with my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies. I then entered grad school at St. Joe's and received my M.Ed. in Instructional Technology, along with a PA certification as a K-12 Instructional Technology Specialist.
I have worked for Total Training Solutions for over 5 years as a K-12 Staff Developer. Working with TTS along with the Delaware County Intermediate Unit, I planned & facilitated technology workshops and in-services in most of the school districts in Delaware County. The past 3 years I have also worked as a Computer Lab teacher for local Catholic schools, teaching computers to K-8 students.
I am in the process of transitioning into a new full-time job as a Curriculum & Implementation Manager for Achieve3000 (publishers of KidBiz3000 and TeenBiz3000).
I am looking forward to an exciting week working with you! Please email me (katebigelow@gmail.com) anytime with questions or concerns.
(We will be using this Blogger tool for Journal Questions this week!)
